Reflection #5
In
the middle of the semester I am exhausted. My motivation for school is not very
good because I have a variety of homework assignments to turn in for all of my
classes. Even for essays and exams too that are assigned in the same day. Also,
I have been having lack of sleep, which it is not very healthy for me. Getting
at least three to four hours of sleep per day is very frustrating as a full
time student. For this whole week I am trying to be very invulnerable with all of my curriculums by not giving up, having a
positive behavior, and becoming very optimistic. So far, I am striving for success
by becoming more serious about school, it’s not because I am failing in my
classes but having a busy schedule and too much work. For my schedules, I try
to balance out my schedule because I am organized and I have to keep that very
consistent to get my work done without procrastinating. When it comes to
professors they can be impassive for not caring much about the student’s grade to make them pass the class. I do
feel as if I need help from school because of all of the stress that I have. Not
feeling precarious or doubtful, I took
this advantage such as going to my tutoring sessions from my English and
Reading Class. One of the reasons why I do this is because I want to go to
English 100.

Reflection#4
Long Term Goals=Bachelor’s Degree for Psychology
Mid Term Goals=Transfer to Cal State Fullerton
Short Term Goals=Do well in all of my classes
Dear Sabrina,
I am so
glad that I was capable of getting all of my classes. Classes’ right now is
very hard to attain because of the waitlist. In all of my classes, I study very
hard and focus on my work without socializing with a lot of people. Sometimes there
is a lot of difficulty like lack of sleep and it causes me to have stress. At the
end of the semester, I passed all of my classes and I was proud of myself. I feel
very smug at that moment and very
self-satisfied because not many people have this opportunity to take this
advantage.
After
finishing all of my sixty units, I have decided to transfer to Cal State
Fullerton because I need one more step to go any further. Before transferring, I
have to go to the Cadena Transfer Center to help me how everything is supposed
to be accurate to go to the school that I want to go to. Also, it is closest
place to go to from my house. By taking advantage of this opportunity, I attended
in all of my classes and used a lot of different learning methods to make my
studies more understandable so I can feel very confident about my studies.
Do you
remember that I said that I will “risk it all and do whatever it takes to
achieve my goals” even though it sounds as if I am a bit insane? Well, guess
what! It has been a year to reach at a certain point where I want to be. I am
very close to obtain my Bachelor Degree in Psychology because it has cool information
about behaviors. I was so happy that I couldn’t believe it myself that I can do
things by not giving or resigning in
my studies. To me, it seemed a bit surreal,
because I am the first generation in my family to go to college.
Your
Best Friend,
Sylvia

Reflection
One of my experience in school that everyone has in common,
would be stress. To reduce stress, everyone should be planning everything. The
following plans that I have done for this week, would be my assignments for all
of my curriculums. From all of my classes such as English, Reading, Statistics,
and Psychology, I have to maintain my time to be organized and it takes a lot
of effort to be doing all of my studies so I can balance my time for school and
the time for myself. For my homework assignments, I planned it out by using the
GOOGLE calendar. This method has kept me very organized for this whole week. I would
receive notifications from my phone by letting me know when I have to study and
when I can do my homework. Based on my
results, I did succeeded because it became very informal on my tasks because there
has been several times that I have completed my work early without worrying
about it. What I also have done with the GOOGLE calendar, would be writing down
my work to make check off lists. This is another great method to be using
because in case if I feel as if I am forgetting something that I have done, I would
have my daily agenda with me at all time. I believe that there is no adjustments
to make because with the GOOGLE calendar, I feel very confident about staying
on my tasks that I have scheduled.

Reflection #2
The greatest impact in my life is having the support and the motivation from my trusted friend, Leo. I have never had that from anyone. When that happened, I began to do things that I wanted to do in life such as psychology. He persuaded me to continue in my education to have the career that I want. Every day during school, he always have hope for me to do well in my classes. When there is a time that I begin to have stress, he is there to make me comfortable and relaxing. He would always give me suggestions, such as, “Do not make things hard for yourself because that will not take you in a certain point where you want to succeed.” I have decided to make a variety of advantages to do well in class when it involves in extra credit, homework assignments, and being prepared for an exam. Also, he made me feel confidence about my decisions that I wanted to decide. My decision in life is to be a pschycoligist in the future, so I can have a great career and a great future too. One of the things that made me feel confident about myself is never giving up and try thing that I would like and wanting to do. Having an optimistic behavior is another key that brings me motivation. Becoming very positive makes my day easy because all I have to do in school is my work without thinking if it’s hard.

The Things I Carry
In my backpack, I carry a variety of different
objects that are useful for my school. All of my things that I carry are
important for me when I need it for an emergency. One of the things that I
carry everyday would be my laptop. Every day I carry my laptop because I have
it as a backup plan, in case if I need to type a homework assignment that is
due on the next class. I also use my laptop to retype my notes because I would
usually find it difficult to understand my own writing during class. That is why
using my laptop is useful because it keeps me very organized in every
curriculums. Another thing that I carry would be my favorite wallet. I wake up
very early for almost every day and I would skip breakfast, but I would use my
money to buy myself a small snack to calm down my hunger. I also use my wallet
to go on the bus. The only way I go home is by taking the bus route, which is
much easier and I can save money rather than driving. When I begin my class,
the professor make several requirements about which book I need to buy and I
would go to the bookstore to buy them. Lastly, I carry my books for each and
every one of my classes. When I have my breaks before class, I read my books to
remember what I did in class.
